Wednesday, June 27, 2007 ![]() A man and his ever nagging wife went on vacation to Jerusalem. While they were there, the wife passed away. The undertaker told the husband, " You can have her shipped home for $5000, or you can bury her here, in the Holy Land, for $150. " The man thought about it and told him he would just have her shipped home. The undertaker asked. " Why would you spend $5000 to ship your wife home, when it would be wonderful to be buried here and you would spend only $150. The man replied, "long ago, a man died here, was buried here, and three days later, he rose from the dead. I just can't take that chance. Tuesday, June 26, 2007 Yeah... the first outing that I plan got cancelled. Cos only left me and Sara interested in going for it. Sadz... Anyway, 1 more day to end of the 8 months work as a starhub admin/data entry. FINALLY !!! Though that means an unemployed poor man will be roaming the streets soon. Feel even better than ORD. Don't know why. haha... Monday, June 25, 2007 yeeps.. i'm one of those on internship :) 2 weeks more to go!!! counting down already.. anyway, the zoo class outing was cancelled, cos too little people.. must be a bit more enthu next class outing can?? haha! thanks.. Sunday, June 24, 2007 Haha... This place is like a stock market... Has its highs and lows... =P Guess everyone must be busy working or having their attachments. I know one person slacking @ home though... Gwee! Haha... =) Monday, June 18, 2007 Mr Perfect was Edwin, cos when I told him to meet at 1pm, he replied me Perfect 1.30pm. i'll be there. How to be perfect when he's late by 30 mins. Erm.. Don't you find that my shirt is kinda white? * looking away * :P Saturday, June 16, 2007 Who is Mr Perfect and why do I stand out in the pics ah? Thursday, June 14, 2007 I'm A Right-Right. Hmm... seems a bit true for me... What's Your's ? ____________________________________________________________ Try this to Identify yourself as a right or left brain person: 1. Hold your hands together, as if you were praying. Look at your hands. If you see Left thumb is below the right thumb ---> left brain Right thumb is below the left thumb ---> right brian 2. Fold your arms in front of you (as if you areangry) Right arm above left arm ---> left brain Left arm above right arm ---> right brain Based on 1+2 (order important), below is the interpretation of your personality: Right-Left==========Considerate, traditional, indirect type can instinctly read other's emotion, and respond friendly by natures. Although not very into taking intiatives in moving forward, but this person will always take a step back in supporting others. Stable personality and considerate, give others a being protected feeling. But the weakness is they cannot say no; regardless how unwilling they are, they will take care of others. Right-Right===========Loves challenges type Straightfoward. Once they decided on one thing, will take action right away. Very curious, and love challenges. Dare to face dangers without thinking through (sometimes foolishly). Their weakness is they dont listen to others, will filterin only what whey want to hear in a conversation, and very subjective. However, because of their straight forward attitude, they tend to be fairly popular. Left-Left=========Dedicated, cold, perfectionist Very logical in all aspects. The only way to defeat(or win over) him/her is through reasons. Has a lot of prides, and feeling strongly about doing the right thing. If they are your friends, they are very trustworthy. However, if they are your opponets, they will be very tough to deal with.Because they can be very "anal" as a perfectionist, they usually leave a bad impression of being hard to deal with when first met. Left-Right==========Likes to take care of others, leader type Has a cool and keen observation ability to see through situations, yet still can be considerate in others needs. Because of their cool and calm nature, and strong sense of responsibility, they tend to become head of a group. Popular among people. However, they may not be able to help themselves in meddling because they want to take care of others too much. Very concerned about how other sview them, and always on alert. Tuesday, June 12, 2007 check out these cars.. my sis took them at a festival near her house in Baltimore. This one is qt nice :) i like the face in the front and all the pretty stars.. haha! it'll be super eye catching if i were to ride in a car like this in s'pore. ![]() my sis likes this.. but personally i think it's rather disturbing. especially the row of red barbie dolls on the roof, the baby statue in the front and all the hands sticking out!! ewww.. there's actually a mannequin on the roof, but i didn't bring tt pic to work to upload.. which was even freakier. ![]() hiaz.. everytime my sis sends me photos from US, i'd just wanna leave s'pore even more! Sunday, June 10, 2007 Yesterday was a fun filled day. Supposed to be a class outing to East Coast for some blading/cycling, in the end, it was a group outing. Only 5 turned up in the morning, with a few others that didn't turn up last min, due to unable to wake up, or some other unknown reason. Met up with Sara at 8.45am to have breakfast at East Coast mac, before meeting the rest of them at 9.30, though most of them came late. There after, May2, Allen n Jian Hua , went to rent the bicycle, while Sara n me wore on our blades. Its always better to have your own pair of blades, for its better, cleaner and no smell. It's gross to wear one with everybody's sweat... YUCKS.. Carried on blading and cycling up and down the stretch, and the 3 cyclist didn't bother to wait for the 2 bladers. Though we've 8 wheels on, compared to the 2 they have... still... its not possible to catch up.. haha.. At least they waited for us at certain places, so still manage to see them every now and then. The workout ended after 2hrs, around 12.10, after covering abt 15km...( Phew, tiring to cover that on blades since I'm not used to it... easier to do that using my trust worthy pairs of leg instead. lolx.. ) before we headed towards Parkway for lunch. That's where more of the class turned up. The 2 Gals, taken at the spiral tower. ![]() Photos Taken at Bedok Jetty. (The 5 hardworking souls that didn't mind to wake up early for some exercise ) ![]() SHOW me your Teeth. ( the person taking the photo keep saying that, so we gave it to her.. haha) ![]() The 3 Musketeers. ![]() Mindy, Gopal and Yi Yeung joined up around 1pm and we went to Pasta Mania for lunch. Some suggested Swensens, but to save money, it ended at Pasta Mania, ( Food court was too packed ). Had a very long lunch there, and waited for quite some time before Edwin, Jermayne n Vanessa turned up around 2pm. The chit chat session carried on, and there was never a period of silence. Then we went to Anderson's to grab some Ice-cream. May2 wasn't taking it, and decided to have some other dessert. We sat down there, happily enjoying our dessert, and started chatting again. lolx. think the owners wouldn't have like such customers who only order one or 2 item and hog the seats for so long. Not long after, Vanessa had to take her leave, and we took a Group photo before everybody dispersed. Group Photo taken at the dessert Shop. ![]() ![]() -( Gopal Stand out with me standing at the back doesn't he.. :p... lolx ) Overall it was a nice meeting with everyone with eating and more eating for yesterday. 090607. Next time will be somewhere closer to town, if not Mr Perfect 1.30 will complain that its always in the east.. lolx. * Thank you Sara For the contribution of all the photos : ) Friday, June 08, 2007 There's a poll going around to re-select the 7 Wonders of the World. Singapore is just so small.. How to squeeze out 7... since i'm super free, nothing to do but getting paid i shall do something constructive and contribute to our class blog.. :) group outing tmr! can't wait.. i'm growing fat from all the sitting around in the office. in need of exercise! it's been a long time since we've met up? except those who went for Mindy's birthday.. do join us! it's always good to keep in touch with old friends.. it's super boring at where i'm working, gotta ask for things to do everyday. then when there's nothing to do, which is 80% of the time. i just sit around and stone.. i'm so tired of asking and getting rejected! even if they give me something to do, it's some brainless job. total waste of my talent.. :p it sucks when the other interns around u get all the fun stuff.. sigh sigh i wanna go on a holiday!! s'pore is boring.. maybe i should start going to the zoo, night safari, jurong bird park etc. there is seriously nothing to do here. can't wait to go US and visit my sis at the end of the year!!!!!!! ooo... it's lunchtime! haha.. well then. pardon me for the uninteresting blog.. :p my life is too boring.. Monday, June 04, 2007 World Harmony run leg was done in Singapore yesterday on the 3rd June in the morning, covering 22km-23km. Just want to share some photos and spread the Harmony flame in everybody. ( report in The Straits Times, HOME ) Look at all the kids in different religion and races holding the WHR torch as one. This is what the world should be like, and not fighting with each other just because of different religion/ race. ![]() Flying the WHR flag, and state flag high. We are the kings of the road, Got police block out the traffic, there wasnt' a need to stop at any traffic light.. lolx. Shiok. First time can do such thing on Singapore's road. Even stand chart marathon, there's certain part where there's a need to stop cos of traffic light. ![]() Hehe... caught in action while running. The singlet is a bit too tight fitting for me. Should have gotten the L instead. Still dreaming that I could fit in M... Really enjoyed myself during the 5 hrs run for the 23km, with 6 stop overs at different places of worship, 2 mosque, 1 Buddhist Mission school, 1 Hindu Temple and 1 Sikh Temple. Don't have any Chruch, cos they are "busy " with their own sessions. Would like to share this and hope that it'll inspire some of you to take part in any future Harmony run or for any other cause. Cheers... Friday, June 01, 2007 Hey Fatts, Thanks. I'm heading down to SL there because sometimes you can bargain some things that the pricelist doesn't show to. Thanks for the pricelist, I'll take it as a reference. Yupz. I do agree that bargain is required. I actually bargin for an ACER from $1998 to $1898. $100 saving. But i didn't buy. haha.. Just testing how much is he willing to cut. : o Currently having a headache choosing from all the models. Hey Zy, you can find the SLS pricelists here: http://sg.hardwarezone.com/priceguide/download.php From what I hear from my friends, basically it isn't so much the price that's cheaper, but the freebies they give. Don't just accept the price on the pricelists though, I heard you can bargain it down. A friend of mine bargained down a Toshiba by $90... And it's still money! =) Anyhow, have fun picking your laptop! Hey Nantha, The IT fair ends this coming sunday. Just went down yesterday. Was packed like crazy.
