Hi all,
My cousin's Friend's dad just got down with acute Leukemia, and its not looking very promising. May require platelets transfusion. Currently considering Chemotherapy. Thus is currently looking for donors who are willing to donate platelets to her dad. I'm helping to spread the msg around to look for help and people who are willing to spare some time and go for the donation.
I'll be going down to SGH to do a screening this saturday 10am. Will be testing whether my platelets and veins are suitable for donation. The actual donation will only be done if the patient requires it, meaning the hospital will call up and request for donation. Because the Platelets can only survive for 3-5days. The blood group required is O+.
Date : 2nd June 07
Time : 10.o0am
Venue : SGH Blk 7
Requirement : Healthy body, O+ platelets.
If there's anybody who's willing to offer a helping hand, contact me. Thanks.

Acute leukemia is characterized by the rapid proliferation of immature blood cells. This crowding makes the bone marrow unable to produce healthy blood cells. Acute forms of leukemia can occur in children and young adults. (In fact, it is a more common cause of death for children in the US than any other type of malignant disease). Immediate treatment is required in acute leukemias due to the rapid progression and accumulation of the malignant cells, which then spill over into the bloodstream and spread to other organs of the body, especially the brain, and most likely attacking the limbic system. If left untreated, the patient will die within months or even days.

Hello! Ha ha, my first ever blogging section. So exciting!....right. Anyways, its really strange that this blog has been around since 2005 and so many of the class ppl didn't know abt it. Doesn't seem to have much people posting. Even the regulars are not present anymore. MQ WHERE ARE YOU!!! I've completed normal, now going to HARD mode.. lolx. just too bored at night.
One more week has past and nothing seems to have changed. Everybody still living in their own comfort Zone, taking one day at a time. I've just completed the relay for duathlon over the weekend, and is looking forward to taking part in more events. Though there isn't any chance of winning, but I just enjoy the adrenaline rush during the process. Would welcome anybody who's interested in taking part in ANY event to contact me.
Anyway, I'm doing a 25km World Harmony Run next weekend on the 3rd of June. Its running for a cause and hoping that the world will be a more peaceful place. Feel free to join in and spread the joy to the people.

Anyway, most people will be having intem or work at the end of june right? Anybody interested in chalet on the 28th? thursday. $40 a night only.
can't wait to stop work. Can't believe that I'm actually counting down more than When I was about to ORD. I was still having field camp with my platoon of men 2 days before I ORD. And now. with 33 more working days to go, I can't stop counting down. Perhaps influenced by Karen's counting down too. lolx.

*innocent* haha... and i am stuck again! i passed the level. now at the level where the hospital is in a damn odd shape.. and e patients take damn long time to get to e other wing of e hospital so they all leave :(...

MeiQi !!!... I can't believe I'm playing it again after so many yrs. You tempted me to go and play lorh.. haha... dig out the disc from my long forgotten stack of games and amazingly its still working just fine.. Played from 11pm -1am last night, at stage 4 now. wonder whether I can still recall how to go about doing it for the next few stages. Yupz.. kinda got sick of playing DOTA online, unless I'm playing with friends I know and decided to play this and have a change while I'm still loafing around waiting for July's arrival.
Anyway, anybody plays other online multiplayer game?
My workplace and experience gained has made me more of a racist person. Really can't stand the working attitude of the mud. Had all along been a racial harmony person, but I guess things changes at times. Perhaps its just these few that I've met that has gave me this impression. Sometimes I really do feel that education plays a huge role in the person's character and attitude.

Good to see that at least 1 person isn't dead. =P
I know that uni is totally killing everyone (well not the guys yet =D) but hang in there people. We've all already come so far... We can't give up now.
Anyway, for those not in the loop, I'm in Melbourne university. So yes, I'm actually feeling the exam stress the gals are going through, and I can only say that for the guys, it's best to start de-rusting ur brains. I STRUGGLED in the first few weeks, and this is in melbourne. As it is, I'm dying now due to the ridiculous number of assignments due (2 this week, 1 more next week, and I'm getting my next assignment immediately after submitting one of my assignments this week), so much so that preparing for tutorials are almost impossible.
It's a small world... So guess who I met in Melbourne...

Well, catch up with everyone soon... Will be flying back with Cheng Xun end June for the hols. =D Looking forward to it!
