Friday, May 05, 2006 Cookies and cream batch 2 was a mini success. Managed to sort out most of the problems with the first batch. Mixed the cookie bits into the icecream mixture by hand (as opposed to blender. Don't worry, i used a spoon.) Now it's properly white with black cookie bits and tastes great (at least in my opinion). Still needs some finetuning though. The cookie bits tend to float on the icecream mix so the top half of the ice cream kind of looks and tastes different from the bottom half. Will probably have to stir the ice cream after freezing for a while to mix it up thoroughly. Might be a bit sweet, this batch. People with a sweet tooth will like it. Anyway, will adjust accordingly. Ran out of ingredients also. p.s. Just thought of how to solve the ice cream delivery problem. Can borrow the fridge in the staffroom. |
