Saturday, November 12, 2005 Today i was a middle-aged chinese woman with a face laceration, 5% burns and chest contusion with underlying rib fracture. Victim of terrorist bombing at Toa Payoh MRT and bus interchange. Sarin was also released in the MRT. My buddy was the terrorist. i think he didn't know he was suppose to be until this whole bunch of doctors started crowding around him shouting "Terror suspect!" Didn't really matter because i think he was supposed to be unconscious the whole time. Got evacuated by ambulance (not my first time, and the last was for real). Wheeled on a trolley from carpark to A&E, got decontaminated first of course. Saw doctor at A&E, then walked 50m to a wheelchair and got brought to the ward. Took a nap on bed 85, then woke up 5-10 min later. Told to go downstairs and 'recycle' myself after that. Exercise cut not long after, so didn't exactly get to 'recycle' myself. The hospital staff were all very xian after the whole morning's wayang so i saved them the agony of seeing me act like a middle age woman with a face laceration. Other people had more meaty roles like 'hysterical' or 'defiant' patients. Some died while waiting in A&E. Quite fun. The breakfast and lunch were not poisoned. In fact they were pretty good. Superb sandwhiches. Lettuce, tomatoes, ham and cheese in french loaf. Was eyeing the last sandwhich but hesitated. Had to be content with scraps of lettuce. Moral of story: Trust my gut, don't think. Then again, can't do that for everything. Will only trust my gut when it comes to sandwhiches. That's what the gut is suppose to do anyway. Digest and absorb the sandwhich. My gut should know best when it comes to sandwhiches. Sandwhiches i will entrust to the gut. Other matters i will leave to other stuff. Haven't had pork curry for a while now. Wonder if it's the gut talking. |
